Exciting News: What Can We Expect from the New Resident Evil Game by Capcom?

During the Next Summer 2024 stream, Capcom, the renowned Japanese video game developer, thrilled fans by announcing a new Resident Evil game. The upcoming title, still under wraps, will be helmed by Koshi Nakanishi, the acclaimed director of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Nakanishi shared the exciting news himself towards the end of the stream, stating, “We’re making a new Resident Evil.” He acknowledged the challenge of following up on Resident Evil 7, but confidently assured fans that he has found a substantial new direction. While he couldn’t divulge specific details, his enthusiasm was palpable: “I can’t share any details just yet, but I hope you’re excited for the day I can.”
Earlier in the stream, Nakanishi reflected on the evolution of the Resident Evil series. He noted that initial attempts to broaden the action elements of the games received mixed reactions from fans, emphasizing that the core of Resident Evil should always be fear. This philosophy guided the creation of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, a title that aimed to restore the franchise’s horror roots.
The latest mainline entry in the series, Resident Evil Village, was released in 2021, marking the 10th major installment in the beloved franchise.
Capcom also delighted fans with the announcement of a Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, set to release on September 19, 2024. Originally launched in 2006 and remastered in HD in 2016, Dead Rising, featuring Frank West, is a classic zombie game that continues to captivate players.
