Is the Amazon Echo Spot the Ultimate Smart Alarm Clock? A Comprehensive Review

With Amazon’s Prime Day sale approaching, the shopping giant is set to unveil a range of

new devices. Among these is the new Echo Spot smart alarm clock, an addition to Amazon’s Alexa-enabled smart device lineup. The Echo Spot not only serves as an alarm clock but also functions as a smart speaker.

Featuring a semi-spherical design, the Echo Spot includes a front-firing speaker and a 2.83-inch touchscreen with tinted glass on the upper half. As the second device in the Echo Spot series, following the original release in 2017, the latest version does not include a camera.

The Echo Spot offers multiple functionalities such as displaying weather updates, playing music, and controlling other smart devices. To suit various room or workplace aesthetics, it comes in six color options: orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue.

Amazon has enhanced the Echo Spot with customizable alarm sounds and pre-set options like Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavor, and Flutter. Users can easily turn off or snooze the alarm with a simple tap, just like traditional alarm clocks.

Equipped with Alexa support, users can prompt the virtual assistant with custom voice commands for quick actions. Priced at $79.99 (approximately Rs 6,670), Prime members can purchase the Echo Spot for just $45 (approximately Rs 3,750) during the Prime Day sale starting on July 16. Amazon has yet to announce its release plans in India.
